Schott is an established US heritage brand with a long and respected history in supplying military flight jackets to the US Air Force. Schott's famous Perfecto jacket became James Dean's jacket of choice and was also made popular by Marlon Brando in the 1950s.
I was enlisted to design a one-off menswear range for their European market - taking inspiration from the brand's flight and biker apparel history.
The Schott brand had become recognised for its basic 'Schott' branded hoodys in particular. The aim of the collection was to reinstate the historical signature design features via a new higher quality Schott label, 'Schott Origin', where the basic logo branding would also be minimised.
